RESPONSIBILITIES:

To support Skyryse missions, any systems, components, software or technology must be developed with the most rigorous processes to ensure they are certifiable by regulatory agencies and mostly they are safe to operate. High rigors do not mean non-value added cost, paperwork or aftermath documentations. In this role, you are empowered to change that perception and oversee the technology development from the angle of System Development. You will lead the development of certifiable flight automation technologies and cost-efficient processes for the new Urban Commercial Aviation industry.

  • Responsible for the development of certifiable flight automation technology
  • Develop detailed SysML and architecture schematics using Lucidchart, Visio, and other tools for identifying the system
  • Write and develop Interface Control Documents for defining inter-relationships between modules
  • Write and develop detailed System Description Documentation and Aircraft Description Documentation
  • Support development of System and Aircraft requirements through Validation and Verification activities in line with ARP4754A requirements
  • Lead and Support Problem and Change processes through the Change Control Process including investigating and providing resolutions within the assigned scope
  • Ensure artifacts are delivered on time
  • Support certification activities as required with the Certification team including simulation activities
  • Advocate and train the Skyryse teams to follow and contribute to the processes 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline
  • Significant experience with development of Flight Control Systems and Fly-by-Wire Systems
  • 7+ years of experience within the aviation industry
  • Familiarity with Polarion requirements management tool

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent communication/coaching skills 
  • Great attitude to improve processes to serve people
  • 14+ years experience within the aviation industry
  • Experience conducting multi-disciplinary design reviews including PDR, CDR through different phases of development through to production readiness and certification
  • Significant experience with aircraft development activities and processes
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision to influence organization
