Program Manager

Job Summary

Ottometric is currently seeking a Technical Program Manager to manage the deployment of its platform for our customers. This position will lead, direct, and monitor design and development programs from concept to production to achieve product objectives on a specified schedule.

In this role, the Technical Program Manager will serve as the gate between program management, leadership, and the global software domains, allowing the software domain teams to focus on the execution of the agreed-upon plan while concurrently looking forward to organizing and aligning future work with program management/leadership. The ability to digest large amounts of information (specifications, processes, test reports, customer/internal feedback, etc.) and understand how this affects our requirements is essential in this role.

What you will do

• Responsible for the overall success of assigned programs in conjunction with account team
• Provide program manager functions to the engineering teams on all client interactions
• Work with Software Platform teams collaboratively internationally (Europe, United States).
• Coordinate cross-functional, multi-site, program teams to meet project schedule, cost, quality, durability, performance, and reliability requirements
• Work with the customer to establish requirements, gaps and improvements for the deployed platform
• Review and prioritize issues pre/post-delivery with program management, software domain teams, and suppliers (internal and external).
• Build positive and productive working relationships with cross-functional teams and the customer.
• Ensure that the software domain team maintains a high level of competence and operational excellence.
• Develop recommendations for meeting customer expectations.
• Assist functional managers to plan budgets and manpower forecasts.
• Report program status to the leadership team

Skills & Knowledge

• BS Engineering Degree required. MBA strongly desired.
• 8+ years of program leadership or engineering project leadership experience, in a similar industry.
• Proven track record of program management.
• Demonstrated progression of programs with increasingly complex system hardware/software interaction.
• Experience working in the technology industry or automotive industry
• Demonstrated ability to clearly message complex program needs and status within all management levels of the organization.
• Strong technical background.
• Strong leadership skills and ability.
• Strong team player with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others. Demonstrated ability to form business inter-relationships with supporting managers, leaders, and staff.
• Decisive and prone to action. Must be quality-oriented and customer focused. Always looking for the synergetic collaborative solution
• Excellent project planning, organizing, and administrative skills.
• Understands how program objectives, tools, and resources relate cross-functionally.

Additional experience items beneficial to the role but not required:

• Experience in software development processes using CMMI or ASPICE models.
• Experience with software planning methods and the ability to use them effectively
• Budget Management Experience

This role has some travel required, approx. 20%
