Role : Lead - Electrical Validation

Job Description:

  • Work with the electrical/integration team on the electrical architecture of the vehicle Lead design validation, testing, and reliability functions for electrical components
  • Build frameworks to document the possible failure modes for all electrical components and systems
  • Be the validation gate and sign-off each design release, work closely to understand and provide feedback on the design early in the design process
  • Work with team to define and execute test cases for all electrical components and systems based on DFMEA
  • Build relationships with validation partners like test labs, vendors, and strategic partners
  • Manage validation timeline and keep program and design teams updated about dependencies
  • Groom function owners to think critically and provide feedback to meet product goals and timelines
  • Plan and own the budget of the functions within Electrical Validation – Reliability, Component and System Validation
  • Own various metrics of vehicle attributes affected by electrical components
  • Own the DVP documents of all the electrical components on the vehicle
  • Drive processes and methods to accelerate testing and improve standardization
  • Ability to communicate/understand an engineering issue and its product/timeline impact and drive design teams to make necessary changes
