We’re aiming for greater safety and knowledge: Our approach to re-thinking road safety is two-fold: deepen our understanding of real-world drivers to learn how they interact with the vehicle and the road, with the goal of reducing distracted driving and preventing collisions before they occur. Second, apply these insights to the development of safe, effective autonomous vehicles that fit into existing traffic patterns and human driving behavior.

We’re taking a driver-centric approach: We surface the safety insights that matter most while protecting the privacy of drivers. By using artificial intelligence on the device, we’re able to detect distractions and immediately warn drivers in real-time. Only a fraction of driving time—such as distractions or other high-risk events—is uploaded to the cloud, where it’s automatically visible to fleet managers via a secure web application so they can then better coach drivers.

Nauto is looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our Solutions team and help bring our technology to market. This role will report to the Director, Implementation Services and will work cross-functionally with team in Palo Alto, CA as well as in-region alongside our Sales Team, owning technical pre-sales for our largest and most strategic prospective customers. Attributes of a strong fit include:

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales executives to plan, prepare and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles – focused on the technical close, including:
  • Successfully match customer pain points and requirements to Nauto solution capabilities; address technical fit and appropriate use of pilots in the sales process
  • Extract and manipulate data from our primary query tool to demonstrate value.
  • Orchestrate and drive the pilot
  • Identify, qualify, and overcome technical hurdles and blockers
  • Coordinate and manage key work-streams internal to Nauto to execute the above
  • Working in multiple levels of the technology stack to support:
  • Hardware deployment and installation (for POCs)
  • Monitoring POC performance and collecting KPI’s for establishing value and ROI in the sales process
  • Custom reporting and integrations via our API
  • Query data from DataBricks
  • Troubleshoot frontline issues with product reporting tool, Kibana
  • Coordinate with Sales and Product to address -customer enhancement requests, and provide feedback on opportunities to better serve customer needs in the Sales Lifecycle
  • Coalesce data into compelling presentations to be shared with clients
  • Provide leadership and coordination with Nauto technical resources to support the pre-sales process
  • Lead and develop additional Solution Engineers to support the organization

Experiences and Skills

  • Minimum 4+ years experience in Technical Sales or Field Sales experience (Sales Engineering or Consulting experience advantageous), Project Management, or Operations experience.
  • Proven ability to adapt presentations to the technical level of the audience, along with professional prowess in presenting technical materials to large groups.
  • Prior experience working with SaaS and AI offerings
  • Experience with Enterprise sales cycles
  • Previous hands-on experience with customer evaluations and deployments
  • Consistent track record selling complex solutions
  • Experience with APIs, Analytics and/or scripting desired
  • Tinkering with hardware gadgets, sensors, or vehicles is a plus
  • Preference given to candidates with SQL and Power BI Experience

Education 

  • Technical bachelor's degree underpinned by a proven track record in the industry preferred, or equivalent work experience.
