The Opportunity

JetZero is in growth mode. As our Mass Properties Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and managing the mass properties for JetZero aircraft, developing the mass properties process, and supporting conceptual studies of JetZero aircraft product family. You must be knowledgable in estimating weights and inertias with empirical methods, as well as building up and tracking the mass properties of complete aircraft systems. 

Responsibilities of this role include: 

  • Tracking Weights, Inertias, & Center-of-Mass Build-ups
  • Collecting/Incorporating Mass-Properties from Various Sources in Build-ups
  • Providing Side-by-Side Comparison of Build-ups
  • Visually Displaying Component Layouts against a 3-View of the Aircraft
  • Refining Mass-Property Methods and Databases for Blended-Wing-Body Configurations.

Engineering degree from an accredited university, and experience with related software tools preferred.
