Autonomous Vehicle Test Engineer

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans, test suites, and test programs to evaluate various features and capabilities of the software stack
- Triage issues and assign them to the appropriate team
- Follow up on and close software issues/tickets after conducting appropriate validation
- Collaborate with other members of the engineering team to ensure understanding and resolution of bugs
- Set up test infrastructure -- software and hardware
- Strategize with the testing team to develop cohesive verification and validation plans, including test plans
- Integrate and/or deploy software updates at a system and subsystem (component) level
- Drive a culture of safety first across all aspects of the role
Qualifications
- B.S. in Automotive Engineering, Robotics, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of test engineering experience in the automobile, robotics, or aerospace industry
- Strong C++ and Python coding ability and general software fundamentals
- Experience with Linux Systems
- Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet)
- Solve fast-paced hands-on complex problems
- Interest in travel to support integration and testing of software at various testing locations (up to 20% travel possible)
Bonus Points
- M.S. in robotics, computer science, autonomous systems, or a related field
- Experience with ROS or other common robotics tools and libraries
- Deep knowledge of testing methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
- Experience writing and maintaining documentation (Google Suite, Confluence, JIRA)
- Troubleshooting experience with real-world systems
- Have and maintain a US Driver's License with a clean driving record
