VEHICLE CONNECTIVITY TECHNICAL SPECIALIST, PRODUCT - LOS ANGELES

The Vehicle Connectivity Technical Specialist will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of a cloud-based connectivity solution for Skyryse aerial vehicles and associated mobile apps. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • See to the high availability of remote access and telemetry to flight test aircraft with oversight on equipment and software.
  • Develop the production bill of material for remote access and monitoring in the production aircraft
  • Specify all software required both on-ground and airborne
  • Develop framework and features for supporting WiFi and LTE Connectivity
  • Design and develop backend system and networking architecture for cloud based services and functionality
  • Design mobile application backend infrastructure
  • Develop framework and software for gateway computer applications
  • Design and develop cybersecurity architecture
  • Ensure optimization of software through design reviews and code reviews
  • Integrate with different teams such as Cloud, Fly-By-Wire Flight Control Team, Mobile App, Data Science etc to realize the project

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Science in the areas of Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering or other engineering discipline
  • Mobile app experience required
  • Experience with C/C++, Node.js or PHP
  • 1+ years of experience in Cloud Computing
  • 5+ years of professional engineering experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience writing software for connected services
  • Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Strong proficiency with databases
  • Experience working with embedded WiFi and LTE modules is a plus
  • Experience working with Network Manager and its APIs.
  • Experience with creating unit tests and test plans
  • Working knowledge of Networking protocols such as TCP/UDP, MQTT, REST etc.
  • Working knowledge of Security Protocols such as TLS/SSL etc.
  • Experience writing software for connected services
  • Familiarization with containerized web service technologies desired
