CONTRACTS MANAGER - LOS ANGELES, CA

This role is critical to the mission success of Skyryse. As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support of contracts and subcontracts for all business areas. You will provide guidance to management on contractual concerns, direct the organization to meet critical schedules, and resolve complex operational issues. You will work closely with our general counsel to interpret, execute, and improve contractual agreements on behalf of the company. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and negotiate confidential disclosure agreements, consultant and subcontractor agreements, and contractual obligations when working with vendors
  • You will assist senior management in planning, developing, and coordinating contract and subcontract proposals to achieve operational objectives
  • Establish and maintain a contract change control process
  • Review and revise all inbound and outbound contracts
  • Work independently and with cross functional teams to execute contracts that support organizational objectives
  • Partner with procurement to ensure all contract and subcontract activities are carried out in accordance with our policies
  • Maintain a contract management system

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or legal discipline
  • 8+ years of contract management experience
  • 5+ years of experience reviewing, negotiating, and drafting legal terms for contracts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective Business Writing - Skill in utilizing different communication materials (e.g., proposals, papers, letters, business performance evaluations, reports, web sites, presentations, speeches) to satisfy a variety of customer requirements and environments
  • Supply Chain Transaction Structures - Knowledge of key elements of typical and non-standard supply chain transactions; able to create new models quickly leveraging existing tools while aligning to our future vision of global industrial champion
  • Market/Strategy Integration - Knowledge of program, category, market, industry, financial and strategic conditions, requirements and trends in order to analyze alternative contracting/project execution scenarios including intra group transfers, teaming, alliance and acquisition positions and overall company business portfolio for identification of business opportunities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation skills and computer skills
  • Prior experience managing multiple contracts simultaneously requiring extensive organizational skills
  • Negotiation skills, outstanding analytical ability, and financial skills
  • Effective communication, organization, and interpersonal skills essential
