Primary Job Responsibilities:

As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will design vital components and systems used to control the cutting edge heavy truck. You will specify and develop the mechanisms, controllers, sensors, and other components that allow the heavy truck to steer, brake, accelerate, and complete other mechanized tasks. You will be release responsible for both components and systems. You will also be engineering responsible for certain aspects of pre-production builds. As the team grows, you may be designated as a subject matter expert and will be asked to provide guidance to junior team members. The ideal candidate works well within a diverse team while also being able to operate independently and deliver projects on time and to specification. This candidate is able to solve complex problems by working up from the engineering fundamentals to develop the best solution, regardless of what others are doing or have done. We can’t change the world by doing it the way everyone else has done it! Finally, while we are an engineering driven company, you will need to be able to effectively communicate with our co-workers and partners in both technical and non-technical capacities.

Job Requirements - Essential Skills:

  • Experience with robotics and motion control
  • Experience in creating CAD/3D models (preferably in CATIA V5/V6), interfacing with prototype shops, building wiring harnesses, using machine shop tools, producing wiring diagrams, sourcing components
  • Experience with tools such as Linux and shell programming
  • Familiar with automotive systems and CAN protocol
  • Experience with Arduino application development and PCB design will be a huge plus Prefer candidates with experience writing code in C++ or Python


  • BS/MS in Robotics, ME, EE, CS
  • 5+ years of professional work experience as an electro-mechanical engineer
  • 3+ years working in a relevant industry like transportation, robotics, construction equipment, etc.
