About this role

We are seeking an individual who is able to understand the importance of good and current technical documentation and work with internal and external partners to ensure that the technical documentation is current and correct. The successful applicant will have experience in leading Change Control Board discussions and ensuring that changes are correctly planned, communicated and implemented across internal and external partners.

We seek an applicant who brings a broad experience and a desire to apply that experience at the ground floor of a company and establish processes and procedures at an early stage. This role needs a person who is able to work actively and collaboratively with others to implement multiple new processes and standards and has the experience and skills to confidently define those processes and standards.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to…

  • Establish, follow and maintain document control processes.
  • Ensure that necessary technical documentation is consistent and complete.
  • Ensure that release processes are followed.
  • Ensure that drawing and metadata standards are followed.
  • Operate the Change Control Board Meetings to ensure that all stakeholders are updated with incoming changes and aware of changes in scope.
  • Ensure that changes are correctly rolled out to the fleet and manage variants in hardware and software across the fleet.
  • Work with the various stakeholders to ensure that relevant requirements are included in Change Control Board reviews.
  • Track quality issues against planned resolutions through design changes
  • Ensure that vendor documentation is current and maintain a list of current vendor issues.
  • Ensure consistency of Data in the PDM system.
  • Create Assembly BOMS and Costing BOMS for projects.

We’re looking for someone who has…

  • A graduate degree or certificate in document control or a technical degree or certificate and sufficient relevant experience
  • Experienced with PDM and PLM software
  • Experienced with the concepts of Systems Engineering and V-Model development.
  • Familiar with technical drawing standards
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

It’s preferred if you have…

  • Proficient in SolidWorks mCAD Software
  • Experience working in safety-relevant or similarly legislated industries (aerospace, automotive, medical etc.)
  • Experience or training in manufacturing quality
  • Experience implementing ERP systems
