As our Data Engineer you will lead data technology implementation projects at Nauto while operationalizing industry best practices. The ideal candidate with partner cross-functionally and have an end-to-end understanding of customer requirements and moving ideas from prototype to production. He or she will have a bias towards action, have an enthusiasm for constant improvement, develop strong relationships with other across levels and functions, be skilled in writing/presenting clearly understood messages and work independently on problems of varying complexity and scope.


  • Lead data technology implementation projects at Nauto while operationalizing industry best practices
  • Design, code, and script
  • Facilitate problem diagnosis and resolution in technical and functional areas
  • Encourage change, especially in support of data engineering best practices, and maintain a high standard of excellence
  • Demonstrate correctness with pragmatic automated tests
  • Participate in, and potentially coordinate, Communities-of-Practice in those technologies in which you have an interest
  • Serve as a member of an agile engineering/IT team and participate in the team's workflow

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • 2-4 years of experience with data lakeswarehouses, including at least one year with Databricks
  • 1-3 years of experience with ETLELT technology (e.g. Fivetran, Hightouch)
  • Experience in driving end-to-end programs from source to consumption.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining distributed, scalable, and reliable data pipelines that ingest and process data at scale and in batch and real-time
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages/tools, including Python, Spark, SQL, DBT, Bi Analytics
  • An understanding of software development best practices (Git, DBT, JiRA)
