Located in Northern California, the Joby Aviation team is steadily working toward our goal of creating an affordable, all-electric air transportation system. Imagine an air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly and quickly carries you over the traffic congestion below, giving you back the time that otherwise would have spent sitting in traffic. Since 2009, our team has been making this dream a reality, designing and flight testing a prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented individuals to join our team as we push onwards toward certifying the aircraft with the Federal Aviation Administration and preparing for commercialization with launch targeted in select markets for 2024. 


The Joby Aviation go-to-market team is looking for a Product Launch Manager to help bring Joby’s revolutionary aircraft to market. In this role you report directly to the Head of Product, while also partnering with the Air Operations, Government Affairs, Partnerships & Strategy, and other Joby teams to define, plan, and execute go-to-market efforts across multiple cities around the world.


This role requires a leader with a skill set that spans product and program management. Success in the role will require a flexible mindset that can continually bring clarity to ambiguous, novel situations, while simultaneously tracking and driving execution across a broad multi-stakeholder team. The person we are looking for will use their considerable experience in product and program management to build bridges and collaborate across the organization, ensuring programs and projects remain on-time and within budget.


  • Identify key stakeholders, internal and external, for each market of interest
  • Build per-market roadmaps and playbooks for launch
  • Design and implement processes to drive, track, and report progress for Joby’s launch initiatives across each market 
  • Partner with project leaders to implement these consistent processes
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance, identify developing problem areas, track risks and marshal resources as needed to achieve resolution
  • Facilitate communication, schedule meetings, enable discussion, decision making, and foster conflict resolution
  • Manage and facilitate day-to-day tasks and priorities to keep the team on schedule
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelor’s degree in management, aviation, business, engineering or relevant field
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, product management and product operations
  • Experience using project management software
  • Experience managing multiple tasks under timelines and shifting priorities
  • Experience cultivating internal and external relationships
  • Strong organization and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of time
  • Be flexible!


  • Experience in launching complex operations that involve both bits and atoms
  • Familiarity with aviation industry regulatory and policy environment
