Our vehicles are on the streets of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Indianapolis, Indiana, Arlington, Texas and Hiroshima, Japan navigating complex downtown scenarios and transporting thousands of people on their daily commute every week. Onsite employees come into HQ or one of our sites at least 4 times a week and have a dedicated workstation with a monitor, keyboard, etc. This role is an onsite role, based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Job Summary

May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth and our team is expanding quickly. We are looking for an autonomous vehicle technician to support our platform and vehicle integration team. This role will report directly to the Vehicle Integration Manager and will be responsible for modifying and repairing our autonomous vehicle fleets.

Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle issues.
  • Track and ensure vehicle up-time by fixing, replacing, repairing components
  • Create and document processes to facilitate knowledge transfer to other technicians and operators
  • Communicate findings and suggestions to engineering groups

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working on various types of vehicles or robotic systems
  • Hands-on experience with electronics, computers, wiring and general vehicle systems
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills and ability to communicate effectively in technical environments
  • Ability to travel between Ann Arbor (home base) and remote offices (at least 2 days per week)
  • Ability to climb a ladder up to 10 feet
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in Linux environments
  • Knowledge of robotic sensors
  • Previous experience at a startup
  • CDL and/or experience hauling medium-sized trailer
