What is JetZero? 

Today’s aircraft contribute around 2.5% of global CO2 emissions, equivalent to the emissions of 200 million cars. This is only going to increase: Air travel is forecasted to double by 2050, while meaningful efficiency gains using current airplanes have hit a wall.  

JetZero is developing a blended wing aircraft. It uses 50% less fuel and can accommodate zero-emission hydrogen propulsion. JetZero is the inevitable solution to sustainable air travel.

This is why we’re hiring ​a Finance Analyst. You will partner with operations, engineering and finance team to understand key business drivers and provide timely, accurate and insightful analyses of financial performance.

What You'll Do

Program/Operations Finance – You will analyze financial performance in conjunction with program management tasks, projects, or capital expenditures, ensuring data alignment, and partner with business stakeholders to help them understand and monitor spending to execute within budget.

Analysis – You will analyze historical and current financial data to inform financial planning and monitoring activities, as well as leveraging industry-specific research and available data to predict emerging trends. Additionally, you will evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation to assess their impact on the company's financial performance, and play a key role in maintaining and updating financial models and analytical tools, ensuring data integrity and alignment with the evolving needs of the business.

Reporting – You will prepare documentation for the purpose of obtaining funding (contracts, investment, debt), support month-end financial close and other quarterly and annual reporting, and develop reports and dashboards to provide stakeholders with real-time financial status.

Process – You will develop and standardize financial reports tools and processes and increase productivity through process improvement and automation.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in analytics, finance, economics or statistics
• Minimum 5 years experience in finance, accounting or data analysis
• Proven proficiency in databases and financial software applications (QuickBooks, Vena, MS365 Suite/Tools)
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Ability to work with large datasets
• Expert level with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently while under limited supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• CFA credentials
• Proven expertise in principles, design and procedural methods used in big data analysis
• Proven experience in project management tools
• Hands-on experience working with statistical analysis and statistical packages
• Knowledge of corporate finance, information analysis and financial diagnosis
